Editorial Guidlines
To maintain standards across Haunted Locations we’ve set out some simple editorial guidelines which everyone must follow whilst making submissions.
Area Placement
We’ve broken submissions down, for the UK these are first by country and then county. Town and village names are then to be added as tags for that particular article thus making it easier for other users to find all locations by area. As an example our Conisbrough Castle has the following tags:
In the tags above you will notice there is one for Conisbrough which is the village this castle is located in and then there is one for Doncaster which is its local town and council. Although this castle is also close to Rotherham it doesn’t fall under their council hence why this tag has not been included.
Uniqueness
All material should be written by you and in your words, it should not be copied from third parties although if you use another resource in your research then credit should be given.
Credits
Credit should be given where credit is due, this includes resources you used in your research, credits for photographs, and any other material used.
You may also credit the article with your name and website address which can also be for a paranormal group and/or Facebook group.
